vac lines n' ect.

Post by Dj on Mon Jul 16, 2012 10:44 pm

Ok, I guess my brain doesn't fully understand why there are so many vac lines. In my mind you need like vac for fuel rail and brake booster. Then you need like a PVC for crank case pressure. Otherwise I mean, if you take off the egr crap you eliminate most the useless shit yeah? I'm just having a hard time with this vac line mess on the Q

deewwwwwwwwwwwwddd... when you start to see a factory service manual.. it sort of makes sense why there are so many..

a/c on? need to up the idle.. okay that a bad one because we have idle control motors now.. but vacuum is an easy way to control stuff..

it's all emissions stuff.. i know that on a sunday drive, i'm not going to give a shit about the gasses my car is dumping into the ozone.. but every other day of the week.. i think about it.. for my baby.. ya know..

you don't think you're gonna pass with that stuff removed do you?

reduce it to the minimum/needed lines. will still pass emissions.

Crankcase/PCV should just get routed into a catch tank instead of the intake pipe.

Benny, you need to see this layout. It is overly excessive. Plus egr is a joke, or only works sitting certain conditions like at certain cruising and temp situations.
